Skills

In this high-energy camp, children become STEM game designers who blend hands-on crafting with beginner-friendly technology to build their own interactive board game. They'll safely explore simple circuits—using coin cell batteries, LEDs, and conductive tape—to light up a finish line or treasure.

Campers will also experiment with basic mechanics, adding cardboard gears, levers, or ramps for surprising physical interactions. Through the engineering cycle of Imagine → Plan → Build → Test → Improve, they’ll brainstorm a theme, engineer a playable board, craft game pieces, and proudly play-test their creation with peers.

Each camper takes home their unique, tech-enhanced game, along with newfound skills in creative confidence, introductory electrical engineering, basic mechanics, and problem-solving. Perfect for curious kids who love to build, tinker, and see how things work!
