Hello and welcome to Steamoji Calgary West! I’m Jennifer Steven, the Academy Director here, and I’m thrilled to be part of a community dedicated to empowering young minds through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.
At Steamoji, we understand that STEM is more than just a collection of subjects—it’s a foundation for the future. In today’s rapidly evolving world, STEM skills are crucial for navigating and contributing to the innovations that shape our daily lives. By providing children with hands-on experience in areas like coding, engineering, robotics, and digital fabrication, we help them develop the problem-solving abilities, creativity, and adaptability that will be essential in the 21st century workforce.
My philosophy centers around the belief that children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, make mistakes, and collaborate. STEM education not only teaches technical skills but also fosters critical thinking, curiosity, and resilience—qualities that are valuable in any field. I am passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and feel empowered to turn their ideas into reality.
With a background in Early Chilhood Eduation, I am committed to nurturing each student’s unique potential and helping them build the confidence to take on challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Whether through our regular sessions, exciting camps, or personalized trial experiences, my goal is to inspire the next generation of innovators, leaders, and thinkers.
